Scratch Golf EZ-1 Iron Set

Scratch Golf EZ-1 Iron Set

$1099.95

Scratch Golf EZ-1 Iron Set Scratch Golf EZ-1 Irons are forged from the same soft 1018 carbon steel as our wedges. The EZ-1 irons are designed for absolute maximum forgiveness in a one piece forged head. The center of gravity is very low and far back towards the trailing edge. The blade is longer from heel to toe and the weight is pushed far out towards the edges of the club. This makes the EZ-1 irons as forgiving as any of the larger oversized irons on the market today. Despite their extreme forgiveness and playability the EZ-1 irons retain a traditional look at address with a thin topline and classic shape. Scratch Golf EZ-1 Iron Heads Scratch EZ-1 irons are forged from 1018 carbon steel, the softest steel used by anyone making golf clubs today. The raw heads are then ground and finished completely by hand. The end result is the finest hand made forged traditional cavity back irons in golf, customized for your game. The headshape of the EZ-1 irons was inspired by Scratch's work with Tour Pros from around the globe. Specific attention was paid to the transition from the middle irons to the short irons to assure perfect flow throughout the set from the 3 iron down to the PW. Scratch Golf EZ-1 Irons Grooves The EZ-1 irons feature our new 2010 "Condition of Competition" legal V grooves. These grooves are legal for play in any tournament in the world so you never have to worry about taking your favorite set of Scratch irons out of the bag because the groove rule has changed. These grooves are designed to have the maximum amount of groove surface while still adhering to the new USGA rules. This reduces flier lies and provides more consistent spin and performance. Scratch Golf EZ-1 Iron Finish EZ-1 irons feature Scratch?s Brushed Satin finish. This finish provides the durability of chrome with a duller surface to help eliminate glare. The minimal stampings of the EZ-1 irons provide a very clean look unique to the Scratch Golf brand and allow for personal stampings to be added to customize the clubs for the player. Scratch Golf EZ-1 Iron Shafts Scratch EZ-1 irons feature the KBS Tour as our standard shaft. These shafts are designed by legendary shaft designer Kim Braley and are the culmination of his years of shaft design experience. These shafts have a slightly higher launch angle but a more boring ballflight overall. This makes them easier to swing and more forgiving while also giving them better ballflight into the wind. They feature a consistent taper design in a stepped shaft and are more workable and have better feel on partial shots.

Maximize Your Golf Dollar!

Creative thinking is the key to maximizing your golf dollar! Opportunities abound for you stretch your golf budget.

Yeah, the economy has gone into the tank & most people I know are hurting financially -- some real bad and others bad enough where they have to make changes in their lifestyle. But if you've been searching for an like this, I assume that you haven't decided to give up golf! Rather you're looking for a way to continue to enjoy the game, but cut down on the expense. I like to call it "becoming a frugal golfer"!

Frugal means costing little, inexpensive, & marked by economy in the spending of money. Even though golf is inherently an expensive game, opportunities exist in numerous places to save money -- sometimes big bucks! As you might expect, the internet is your best friend for exploring most of these.

1. Discount Greens Fees - There are a multitude of national, regional, & local discount golf pass programs that cover reduced greens fee at courses close to you. Google "discount golf pass programs" plus "(your State)" & you should come up with a number of possibilities. Check your local newspaper's sports section for coupons (Monday's edition is popular in my local area). Subscribing to your local course's e-mail listing (check a course's website) can result in coupons. Many courses' pro shops will gladly share this type of information with you if you just ask about it!

2. Online Greens Fees - Many internet companies sell online teetimes for specific dates & times at reduced rates. Some sites ask you to name your own price, and even auction sites like eBay are getting into the act. Do an internet search & surprise yourself at what's out there.

3. New Golf Equipment - Retail stores, driving ranges & golf courses are the only way to go when you need to try out equipment to see if it is right for you, but once you've identified what you want, you have to check the internet. Low overhead of itself gives the online stores a big price advantage over the brick & mortar facilities. Ebay & Amazon can be the of big savings! Timing your purchases (January & February in many areas) to just before the new equipment comes out can take advantage of overstocked inventories.

4. Used Golf Equipment - In the search for the new driver, iron, wedge, or putter that will magically reduce their scores, golfers are constantly abandoning perfectly good & in many cases, virtually new equipment. That driver that the golf manufacturers were glowing about just last year didn't just lose the 20 yards it promised you, did it? Used equipment can be found just about everywhere because there is simply so much of it!

5. - Many perform quite well, so check them out, but be careful to distinguish clones from knockoffs. Knockoffs will try to fool you by imitating brand name clubs to the extent that it can be hard to tell the difference. will level with you up front with phrases like "compare to" or "similar to" a brand name club.

6. Recycled, Refurbished, Reconditioned Golf Balls - Whatever term you prefer, these are used & there is a big market out there. Golfers lose millions of balls every year, many of which have only been hit once or twice. Golf ball recycling companies clean these balls up & resell them. The highest grade of recycled ball looks & plays perfectly (your playing partner will never know unless you decide to brag about how little you paid for them - typically about half price).

7. Sell or Donate Your Used Golf Equipment - If you decide to sell your used equipment, be prepared to swallow hard - you are likely only to get pennies on the dollar for them! A better way to go might be to donate them to charity for the tax deduction. Some charities won't accept golf equipment, but others like The First Tee Program (for kids) will be delighted to take them!

8. Get a Part-Time Golf Related Job - Just a couple of shifts as a starter, ranger, cart attendant, or pro shop attendant at your local course is usually enough to get you abundant free golf (although generally with some time restrictions). Work a shift or two at a golf retail shop can result in significant discounts on everything they carry.

Trade specific brands of balls with your buddies, shop the coupon sites on the web, and forget the more expensive brand names for the non skill items like gloves & grips. There are so many ways to save if you put your mind to it! My passion over the years for this expensive game has led me to find whatever way I could to reduce the expense, but you know what? Besides saving the money, becoming a frugal golfer has been really satisfying & yes - fun!

Clone Golf Mizuno MP58 irons $348.99 for sale

The Mizuno MP-58 Ti Muscle iron has been designed to combine the playability of their better player irons with the forgiveness of a multi material construction modern iron, the first time this has been done in the Mizuno MP series.

Mizuno have introduced a titanium insert into the outer muscle pad of the club head to give the MP-58 a uniquely solid feel at impact, while increasing the perimeter weighting to make the club much more consistent on off centre hits. The 11 gram titanium plate is positioned 2.9mm from the face for the best combination of feel sound and vibration.

Mizuno MP58 irons 8.99 for sale

Introducing the new MP-58 irons with revolutionary Dual Muscle Titanium Technology. During the complex grain flow forging process, a high-tech titanium metal is forged into the outer muscle of the iron, which not only delivers the feel, workability and shape every MP player desires, but also takes playability in an MP iron to a whole new technological level. The MP-58 irons achieve the rare combination of a penetrating ball flight, increased MOI, and superior feel, all in the ultimate player's head shape.

Mizuno Mens MP-58 Forged Irons feature:
Set includes #3 thru #9 irons, plus pitching wedge: 47
Steel shafts available in Regular, Stiff or XStiff
Available in right-hand only

The Mizuno MP-58s have a much thinner sole and top line than the older MP-57 model aimed at enhancing forgiveness for the player by keeping the centre of gravity close to the clubface whilst the beveled sole and flattened mid sole improve ball contact at impact. The head size of the Mizuino MP-68 is also a little bit smaller than the MP-57 but the half cavity design actually delivers a 10% increase in MOI. These developments mean that the MP-58 Ti Muscle offers the shape and control you would expect from a tour iron while offering much more forgiveness.

When we got the Mizuno MP-68 irons on the range, we immediately noticed that the MP-58s have a much thinner sole and topline than the old MP-57 model and Mizuno say this modification has enhanced forgiveness by keeping the centre of gravity close to the clubface. The new design of the MP-58 Ti Muscle performed very well, although if we had to be picky, the feel was not quite as good with the multi-material head as with a 100% forged steel head. The mid to short irons were lovely to hit, especially the wedge, but the long irons were not quite as forgiving as the shorter irons in the set. Visually the head of the longer seemed a little shorter relative to the mid irons and if this is a concern for you then you can easily replace the long irons with the MP Fli-Hi or the MX300 long irons instead. Overall though this is a great iron for those who want a good players irons with a bit more forgiveness than a blade.
