It is effortless to hit these straight and long. The r7 draw took a lot of force to push them further but the cgb irons are heavier and feel so much better, where I was hitting the r7 draw pitch wedge 120 yards I am now hitting the pw 140 yards with less effort and more control. I own the 09 model with graphite shafts. Get them asap you will not be happy with anything else.
I have had my cgb irons for about a year. I have NEVER had another set of irons perform like these. They are very forgiving and I like to think they are long. My irons are longer then all of the players I play with by at least one club. If you don't believe me, just hit them at a golf shop and see. I have the steel shaft because I am not a big fan of the graphite. I never post but I have been meaning to just for these irons!

These irons are amazing. They are consistently long and forgiving. I've had Ping G10, Callaway, Cobra, and several other brands and there is no comparison. Handicappers 80 and above will probably not be able to work these clubs without some help from a lesson or two and some practice, but I assure you that it can be done. If you are a serious golfer, you won't be disappointed.
This set of clubs is amazing. Everything from ball control to distance is just perfect. I hit a lot of clubs before I used this set and I just couldn't get my hands on the right iron. It was like trying to make a monkey a horse with other clubs. I just kept hitting them and hitting them trying to make myself like them. Then I started hitting the TM's and let me tell you it was like night and day with other clubs. I'm a big believer that a person makes the shot not the club but in this situation. I am very pleased with my x 20 tour irons. Since switching over to the golf club irons, I have noticed more consistency with my iron game. The greens at the course I play tend to be hard and tough to hold, but I can easily get a high ball flight and hold the greens. I usually can even back up my 6-pw on the greens. I used to have a slight fade with my previous irons, but I hit these very straight. I would recommend these to any level golfer. The only downfall is that I have a tough time hitting bump and runs with the clubs because I feel that the ball jumps off the clubface.
I needed to step up from my large cavity backs because i felt like i wanted to work the ball more. Im the kind of golfer who will learn to hit whatever club i buy regardless of how i hit it while at the store. I knew i would temporarily struggle with my new irons because of the difference in style. However, out of all the clubs i tried, these were the only clubs i hit consistently. I was instantly surprised and satisfied, and bought them. I have had no complaints since. These clubs have added so much confidence in my iron game, and i can work the ball in both directions effortlessly.
